On Friday, June 8th, we attended the opening and awards reception of at Florida CraftArt Gallery, showcasing original doll art by more than 30 artists. The exhibition was judged by Loretta Nardone, President of the United Federation of Doll Clubs (UFDC) an international organization of doll collectors.
The awards presentation was Friday, June 8th, we were awarded third place for “Prinz Bobo,” a monkey automaton. Trent Manning won first place for “Dragon Slayer”. Sandra Oglesby received second place for “Sprouting” and Honorable mentions were given to Victoria Rose Martin and Yolanda Chui.
The “Dolls and Where They Live” exhibition continues through the month of June and closes Saturday, July 28th with a reception and People’s Choice Award presentation. Come and vote for your favorite doll!
